Schools have praised a unique Sandwell scheme to keep scores of vulnerable children out of trouble.

Police, fire and council services set up Teamworx to help older primary school children in West Bromwich and Smethwick.

Teamworx aims to raise self-esteem, improve confidence and prevent entry into the criminal justice system either as offenders or victims.

Since the scheme started last June almost 100 children have benefitted and now organisers are aiming to roll it out across the borough.
