Birmingham Airport is currently consulting on the flight paths used by planes taking off and landing at the aiport. There are currently 4 standard departure routings:

 - sharp left over Birmingham's south west suburbs including Edgbaston

 - north west towards Walsall

 - north towards Sutton Coldfield

 - south east via a right-hand U-turn

The airport is consulting on the removal of the north west route. This will mean that there will be more take offs on the routes that remain.

I have successfully argued for an extension of the consultation period. Residents I spoke to were unhappy with the information and the level of engagement.
