Preet Kaur Gill MP today has challenged the Government for failing to include Sikhs in the Race Disparity Audit - a report which provides an overview of the main findings from the first release of data from the Race Disparity Audit. The report presents an overview of disparities between different ethnic groups and the treatment they receive from different public services.

Preet asked:

"What other reports on race have been incorporated into the race audit data? Why have Sikhs, who are recognised as a separate ethnic group in legislation, been excluded from the audit? Will he put that right by ensuring that Sikhs are not further discriminated against and that the 2021 census will include a Sikh ethnic tick box?"
